Quick Blog # 4: Whip My Hair

As we discuss sexism and media imagery, I thought for Quick Blog # 4 I would have folks write their response to the song and video by Willow Smith entitled Whip My Hair. Do you think she provides a good role model to girls? What about the lyrics to the song and the images in the video? Does anything about it trouble you or suggest sexualization? How does race intersect with this? Remember it is okay to have mixed feelings about the video, too. I look forward to reading you weigh in on what has become a pop culture phenomenon.
